Hi,
As per another of my posts I have recently upgraded from 0.941 to 0.96a. I have noticed that the overlib images being displayed now are blurred (Antialiased maybe?)
See the attached image
Is there something that can be changed to fix this?

Looking back through the subversion logs, this change happened in r255 ("img tags in overlibgraph will use width/height if poss.") last September. Somehow it didn't make it into the CHANGE file for 0.96 though.
What is happening is that the OVERLIBWIDTH and OVERLIBHEIGHT are used as width and height attributes for the img tag. That means that if they are wrong, the image will be scaled to the size given, causing the blurring. Set OVERLIBWIDTH and OVERLIBHEIGHT to exactly the right size, and all will be clear again.
I'll update the CHANGES file - that should have been in there. Sorry!

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Howie,
Thanks for the reply, how ever I think there is something else also going on here, maybe when the use of the overlibheight and width came into actionit also antialiases the image?
I have attached 2 new images the weathermap_old.bmp is from 0.941 and weathermap_new.bmp is from 0.96a
As you can see I set the overlibwidth and height to be the size of the graph displayed by Cacti (595*233) this hasn't made much of a difference with 0.96a but you can see its ignored for the 0.941 image

That graph image isn't 595x233. It's more like 393x155 (estimating with my graphics program's crop tool). Paste the OVERLIBGRAPH URL into a browser, and see if the browser will tell you the actual size.Syngress wrote:Howie,

Anyway, that's why it's scaling the graph, and that's why you have that big empty space in the 'old' picture.
