Where can I download the Plugin Architecture?

Post by micoots »

Hi,

I can't find where the plugin architecture download is located?

It used to be on www.cactiusers.org but I can't find any downloads there any more.

Any one know where to get this?

I have 0.8.7b with PA 2.1 and am looking at upgrading the environment to the latest 0.8.7e with PA 2.4 ?

Thanks.

Michael.

Hi I have followed the instructions on cactiusers.org about installing the Plugin Architecture/Plugins.. No error, so I assume it was done.

The thold plugin is in plugins directory already. I thought it will appear automatically from the web interface. I only added the plugin from global.php.. anything that I have missed? Should the plugin automatically show up in the web interface once added in global.php?

Thanks

Thanks for this I've pulled down the download.

As a side note, does the new cacti version (0.8.7e) make changes to the rrd files that are different from what v0.8.7b makes?

I ask because I have 0.8.7b in production and "copied" that cacti environment to a new server. On that new server:
  • I'll upgrade 0.8.7b to 0.8.7e with PA 2.5
Copy the rrd files from old 0.8.7b server to new 0.8.7e server
Cron cmd.php on the new server
If the rrd files become different between versions I imagine the process above will fail.

Thanks.

Michael.

The plugin architecture does not touch or effect the RRD Files. If you are moving the RRD Files to a new server though that has a different architecture (say moving from windows to linux), you will have to export them to XML, and re-import them when you are done.
