Apple Airport

Post by Xi0N »

Hi all!!

I have been using cacti in my job for the last weeks, and it works pretty fine!

The only thing i dont get to monitor any useful data from is an airport wireless device.
Does anyone have the tempates for monitoring the connected clients, and those specific things?

Thanks!

You need to find out how to access the data from it.

Does it respond to snmp? make a custom script to pull the info via it's web pages?

1) search the forum for others who might have created/posted them.
2) if none exist, read http://docs.cacti.net/manual:087:3a_adv ... alkthrough

Ok,
I managed to prepare this small templates that shows the number of connected clients.... (And some mnore basic info about the Airport device)
Its just a start, and may have some things that should be polished....... Feel free to modify it and reupload anytime with any improvements/corrections that you may commit!!

I hope it is useful for someone else, for me, it sure is.... :)

Hi Xi0N,

I import the 3 templates just fine, and can add the graph to a host but the only option I get for adding a graph is wireless clients. I expected to see graphs relating to the other 2 templates.

I imported all 3 as templates, should I have done it another way?
