Perhaps an older rrdtool? 1.3.1?

I've never seen one that does this before, so I assume it's a new thing...
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

LC_CTYPE="C"
LC_NUMERIC="C"
LC_TIME="C"
LC_COLLATE="C"
LC_MONETARY="C"
LC_MESSAGES="C"
LC_PAPER="C"
LC_NAME="C"
LC_ADDRESS="C"
LC_TELEPHONE="C"
LC_MEASUREMENT="C"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="C"

Yes, run with DEBUG for one poller cycle, and then check the cacti.log for ReadData lines about RTR-NAT-1-NOKIA-1

No, you need the lines after this one:

06/18/2009 03:35:00 PM - WEATHERMAP: Poller[0] DEBUG: [ReadData@Weathermap.class.php:837] [Map 1] altair.conf: ReadData complete for LINK RTR-NAT-1-NOKIA-1: 0 0

they will tell you what the output of the rrdtool command is.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).

So on the cacti graph, I guess you have a gap now... please see the Cacti HOWTO for NaN values in graphs.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).

Interesting. And if you do Graph Debug in cacti (the little spanner), it shows the same filename as you use for your TARGET? For sure?

Because rrdtool isn't returning any data for that rrd file. It does exist, otherwise you'd get a different error. And it isn't related to locale, otherwise you would see something other than nan.

Wait - so you DO have gaps on routeur_nattage_3845-2? Well that is why weathermap shows 0 for that one, and why rrdtool shows nan.

What about one of the other links? What does that say in the debug log ReadData?

forget routeur_nattage_3845-2, there is no traffic at all on this router

i have another router, the graph i have posted comes from it, in cacti all is ok :
