Are you using ADS?

Make sure that you use Specific Searching and fill in a username and password for it.

Using Windows 2003 server.

Have updated ldap.php from svn

My settings is

Authentication Method:
LDAP Authentication
User Template: ldap_template
Mode: No Searching
Distinguished Name (DN): <username>@local.com
Require Group Membership: checked
Group Distingished Name (DN): cn=cacti,ou=Groups,ou,dc=domain,dc=local
Group Member Attribute: member
Group Member Type: Username

Search Base: ou=people,dc=domain,dc=local
Search Filter: (&(objectClass=user)(objectcategory=user)(sAMAccountName=<username>))

If I uncheck Require Group Membership: when it works fine, but realy whant Group Membership option to work.
