Filtering graphs by rrd value

I am using the Cacti to log the network status. The web site is logging various of network preformance.
i.e. the throughput of the router.

I want to find out the network was nearly fully utilize at which period of time.

So, I am considering to write a scirpt to get the data from rrd and insert those data to a database.

later on, I can search the database to find out when the network is almost fully utilize and show the link to show the grah.

I am curious if any simliar add-on is doing what i am trying to do..


Please let me know if anyone have hints.

The one that comes closest is the REPORTIT plugin. But it still may not match your request
