[solved] Fatal error: Cannot redeclare db_connect_real()...

Post by gomeziak »

Hello,
my Cacti instance has shown my the error below and crashed:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare db_connect_real() (previously declared in D:\CACTI\lib\database.php:34) in D:\CACTI\lib\database.php on line 55

What does it mean?

After IIS restart all works and cacti is running until the next time the error apears .

My config:
- w2k3s r2 + IIS 6.0;
- Cacti 0.8.7d + all patches;
- cacti-spine-0.8.7c;
- mysql-5.1.34;
- net-snmp-5.4.2.1-1;
- php-5.2.9-2;
- rrdtool-1.2.30-bin;

If somebody could help me i would be great.

Best regards

1) You been messing around with cacti's code?
2) Run a chkdsk d: /f
3) Enable the php error logging in php.ini and see if that gives any additional info when that error occurs.

Starting to sound like you may have other inherent issues with your server.... Ran a memory test lately?

No there is no problem with the server, other monitorring tools are running properly.

I think the problem is with the IIS 6.0. I have quickly installed Apache 2.2.11 and for now it's seams that everything works fine.

The IIS 6.0 was making a lot of problems from begining of the cacti installation.

Well considering most users don't complain of your specific issue with cacti.. it'd lead me to believe it's just something with you.

Did you follow my installation guide or use my installer?
Did the php error logging reveal any other issues?

When using Apache everything is working fine.

yes I have followed your installation guide. Great job, almost perfect the guide.
The php error logging dident reveal any other problems.

I believe the problems where releated only to the IIS 6.0.
