Invalid Login
Any other suggestions? After installing (3 times) the PA to a modified cacti install I finally reverted to a clean install, then reinstalled current PA and NPC plugin. Again, login doesn't work and neither resetting login to admin/admin or using the above query cleared login access.
CACTI MODIFICATIONS:
Changed color scheme
Changed page title to Monitoring
Would either of these modifications cause the problems. No errors are showing in server or user logs so unable to troubleshoot.

Login issues
Nope, there were no errors in apache logs, user access logs or message logs -- only shows successful access of the login page.
Each time I reinstalled I'm kicked out after adding a plugin and according to database log the password was accepted but I can never get past the login page. I tired to access auth_changepassword.php since the login didn't appear to work but then checked the database which showed that user was authenticated -- just couldn't get past the login page.
I had cacti setup and graphing, upgraded to 8.7d (no problems) and added PIA2 with global.php errors but eventually everything passed although I had a problem with login but the mentioned workarounds worked. After logging in I saw the "Plugin Management" link so I installed npc with appropriate change to global.php and this is where login failed again but this time without success using either of the Reset/Fix password instructions.
Before trying again I upgraded my CentOS box which was initially configured for apache 1.3, PHP 4 (default) and PHP 5 - upgraded and now using apache 2.2 with php 4 with PHP 5 (default). Possibly the required PHP extensions weren't being called correctly which may have caused the login issue. So, I'll start over and see if this makes a difference.
I consider myself a newbie so I'll try my hit/miss methods and see what happens and will definitely post if I continue to run into problems.

same problem?
I believe I'm experiencing a similar issue. Can't authenticate to the cacti login page after install. Nothing helpful in apache or cacti logs.
