Hi,

I installed the plugins realtime 0.36. It works well, except for one graph!
All other graph are ok but on a graph that I see a red cross.

Have you an idea of where the problem may be?

Thank you

Pull a copy of svn and try it. There were some unhandled corner cases that are corrected in svn.

Search for it on the main Cacti Web Site. Have fun.

Thank you, Witness.
This is an awesome plugin, works great.

I just found it today, by chance we were having some bandwidth saturation issues, and I did a Google search for "cacti realtime" just in case... low and behold, you had already invented it!

Helped us narrow down the issue, super handy plugin!

Went from 034 to this version and the misc tab and realtime icon's vanish. Perms ok, no http errors, replaced the 034 realtime directory and everything returned. Can't seem to get this version running. Would be nice as the window is slightly too small in 034!

It's now PIA 2.x and you don't add to global.php, but rather from Plugin Management. Make sure you do that. If you don't have PIA 2.x installed, that would be recommended. Also, you might want to grab SVN if you are not on 0.8.7c or above due to a small issue during the install/upgrade of the plugin.

Error

Post by pparcell »

Everything works great, but something in the title of my graphs is causing Realtime to error out:

ERROR: I don't understand ': TRANSIT TWTC (CID:XX/KFFN/XXXXXX/TWCS)\n' in command: 'COMMENT:Description: TRANSIT TWTC (CID:XX/KFFN/XXXXXXX/TWCS)\n'.

Other graphs work, but all of my graphs generally have a '/' or two and that seems to be maybe what is causing it to break?

More than likely. But do these graphs work in Cacti? There may be some escaping missing. Let me know your rrdtool version as well.

No, it's the description. If you remove the colon ":" from the Comment, that will correct the issue.

In other words instead of "Description:", make it "Description". Then, log a bug report here:

http://bugs.cacti.net

Trouble with realtime

Post by joseme »

Hi:

I installed the plugin on my cacti (windows server 2003), hen I run the "realtime" I got a pop-up window, see the time counter (15 seconds)but i can not see the image (seems like is loading), The folder "rcache" has files, so the permissions are OK. well, after that my web page hangs, I mean any PC's can enter to the cacti web page (show like is loading), so, i have to restart it, (this only ocurrs when I click on the realtime icon to execute realtime").
by the way. I found a realtime.sql file in the installer folder, i didn't execute because i see a poller_output_rt table in my SQL DB. In this casi is it necessary to excute it?......
