I am new to cacti and rrd...with the scripts provided am I able to pull IIS web server stats, sql queries, memory and disk util in an MS enviroment or is it better to use the vb scripts I see posted out there and pull from WMI?

Right now, I haven't been successful with the scripts...and I didn't know if I was going down the wrong path.

Also any good links I can read up on rrd and how the OID's are used? With MRTG if there was a certain process, I would just add in the OID...so far I haven't found a way to do that in RRD.

I forgot to mention that the MIBS and perl are installed correctly. Everything appears to work right, I just need to correct the scripts to pull the right info, if it is even possible.

Once you know the OID in Windoz, you simply create a datasource of type "SNMP Data". Name the datasource appropriately. Once you have created it, simply edit it. When you edit it you will specify the Host (IP), community string and OID. Then you have it an RRD that you can create a graph on. I hope this helps. Windoz2k utilizaes RFC 1514 the "Host Resources MIB" which includes all sorts of goodies. A good freeware mib browser to view the MIBS is "getif". Good luck.
