Admin Account Corrupted!! Issue Solved!

Post by munichrich »

Hi I have an issue with my Admin Account after a Crash the Admin account no longer works.. Cacti itself and all the other user accounts works fine but this account ( Sods Law) is curupted. I need to recreate this user as I have no other Accounts setup with Admin rights.

Alternatively is there any way of altering the permissions on another user account to give it admin rights via the SQL Database perhaps??

Version: Cacti 8.7c (Cacti ez 0.6)

Thanks in advance for the help...

Rich

Issue Solved!!

Post by munichrich »

Hi Guys,

After a pot or 2 of coffee I had an Idea!! NEVER Underestimate the Power of Caffene!!! :D

So I was able to solve this by doing the following;

I went into the datatbase
opened the realm_Id Table
Viewed the data.
Added a new row
realm_id ( 1 )
User_id ( as per another user)

Repeated this for the first 10 rows and then logged in as this User who now had Admin rights and created a new Admin account.

:oops: Guess I should Have thought of this straight off but I blame the early morning start... Thats my excuse and Im sticking to it.. LOL
