Cacti breaks after patching w/cacti-plugin-0.8.7d-PA.v2.4

Hello,

Don't know if anyone else is encountering this but lots of errors output when patching with the latest plugin architecture and now the following is displayed on the webpage:

I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 (server, 32bit), pretty barebones.
Installed cacti + prereqs with:

$ sudo apt-get install cacti

Thus I'm running cacti version: 0.8.7b

All other posts I've come across for the page error have not been helpful (i.e. national's posts).

Might be related to this:
http://cactiusers.org/bugs/view.php?id=122
(as it's currently unresolved).

Any help is appreciated.

The patch you tried is to be used against cacti 0.8.7d, that's why you see a lot of failed hunk. You will need to restore the original files in order to have cacti work again, and apply a patch for 0.8.7b (try with --dry-run to see if everything goes well).

On a side note, on my Debian test server, I needed to put "include_once("./lib/plugins.php");" at the beginning of the global_arrays.php file. It will solve the error you see, but it will be pointless in your case until you resolved all the failed hunk of the patching.

Silly me, thanks. Forgot that repositories are not updated as frequently as official releases.
