Default Templates?

Post by flibbertigibbet »

Other than doing a new installation of Cacti, and pulling the default templates from that, does anyone have the default templates?
I think I'm looking for the Data template for Interfaces - Traffic, because with newly recreated graphs the Interface name does not appear anymore.

Where it used to show the port number, it doesn't show that at all.

Try reapplying the suggested names to that graph.

Otherwise, check out the SNMP - Interface Statistics Data Query. make sure the suggested values for the graph type you're using are correct.

Thanks BSOD, the suggested values aren't there, yeah all gone.
Hence why I was hoping someone could provide the default, or maybe provide me the list of suggested values, as I'm not sure what they should be.

heh what did you do with them? :P

Code: Select all

Data Template - Interface - Traffic
name |host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifIP| - |query_ifName| Move Down Move Up Delete
name |host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifName| Move Down Move Up Delete
name |host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifIP|/|query_ifDescr| Move Down Move Up Delete
name |host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifDescr| Move Down Move Up Delete
rrd_maximum |query_ifSpeed|

Graph Template - Interface - Traffic (bits/sec)
title |host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifName| Move Down Move Up Delete
title |host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifIP| (|query_ifDescr|) Move Down Move Up Delete
title |host_description| - Traffic - |query_ifDescr|/|query_ifIndex|

Thanks alot. :-D
Just like most things with linux, they must've ran away from me.

I think I was trying to change something with the scaling because it didn't appear to be showing the correct bit rate for network interfaces... and either it got corrupted, or I deleted them intentionally, thinking it'd be easy to recover that.

After adding the proper values back into those settings. I had stumbled around for a bit, to discover the "re-apply suggested names" to finalize the repair. The re-applied the names back to the graphs, that I though was caused by resizing.

Unbeknown to me, I must've really gone around changing settings one day, in order to mess up all my graphs. ;-) Thanks BSOD for your quick replys.
