Graph display interval on new install w/ migrated data

Post by yossarian »

I have Cacti 0.8.7 installed and running fine on Ubuntu. I have migrated the data to a new 0.8.7 install on newer hardware also running Ubuntu. The new installation appears to be running fine. There is one difference between two setups that I haven't been able to resolve - the time interval at the bottom of all of the graphs in the default tree view appear in six hour increments instead of two hour increments that appear on the old installation. Where is this value set? I haven't had any luck finding any difference between the two installs that would explain this.

Please verify your rrdtool versions on both servers as well as font settings. I suppose the first one will match ...

On the old server, rrdtool 1.2.11, on the new server, rrdtool 1.2.27. I removed rrdtool on the new server and installed 1.2.11, but no change. I also tried installing 1.3.1 on the new server, and that didn't make a difference either. No custom fonts are in use - just the system defaults. After I click on the graphs tab, and then select the host I want to view, the default view of the graphs shows the 6 hour increments at the bottom. But if I click on one of the graphs to see the other available averages graphed, I see the graph view that my other installation displays by default with the 2 hour increments. I've tried exporting and importing the rrds, and tarring them and then moving them to the other server. I even tarred up my entire cacti installation and moved to the other server, but I am still not seeing the two hour interval as the default.
I have also noticed that on the 30 minute average graphs, that on the old installation it displays the names of the days of the week, where on the new installation it displays the day in numeric form. This isn't a problem - it just makes me think I've overlooked a setting somewhere.

I'm quite sure that there was a change in the default labelling of x-axis on the rrdtool side. I only don't know when this happend exactly. That's why I supposed the change of the rrdtool version. But I may be wrong
