Change RRA to include Avg, Min, Last

Post by Mickey3D »

Same problem here. In fact my old graphs are working fine, but new graphs get this error. I don't know what caused the problem.

If I change CF>> RRA to include Avg, Min, Last, will it break my already working graphs?

Using Version 0.8.6j
Operating System: unix
PHP SNMP Support: no

That depends. To be honest, such an error is new to me for 086j. And we do not support this old version any more = no more patches.
For a more precise answer, the exact rrdtool info of the file along with the graph from Graph Management/DEBUG is required

Ok, So you dropped the AVG. That's why the graph fails. I'm quite sure, that 086j requires the AVG consolidation function (IMHO, this was fixed in later versions).

Hello,

similar errors for me, too. Bytes Read/Written works fine, but Load Averages and Reads/Writes do not.
Load Averages has only nan values.
Reads / Writes is not displayed at all.

I modified LAST to AVERAGE, still no change...

Thank you!

I bet this CF is missing from the RRA section....

CACTI > Management > Data Sources > RRAs . Select each RRA and enable LAST > Save

Delete the graphs and recreate them.
Cacti Version 0.8.8b

great advice, thank you!

now I have another problem: even though for some device both Reads/Writes and Bytes Read/Written are showing data, for Load Averages the graph is empty, all values being 0 (zero).

any ideas?

thank you!

I came across a similar issue. The same graph template works for certain hosts and does not for few other hosts.
The graph template uses LAST as the CF.
Also the rra has all values (AVG, MIN, MAX and LAST) selected.

Is there a way i can debug the .rrd files of the affected linux hosts.

I am using RRDtool 1.4.4 with cacti-0.8.7g-2

RRDTool Command:
