FalconStor/IPStor

Post by pheezy »

Hello all,

I have created a query to pull information from a FalconStor device.

These templates were exported with 0.8.7b, I have no idea if they will work with earlier or later versions, but you are welcome to try.

Four graphs are included:
1. SCSI Commands Pending
2. I/O
3. SCSI Errors
4. SCSI Commands

I've only included two screenshots, as my devices have no errors or pending commands, so the screenshots would be quite boring. :)

To install:

1. Place falconstor_virtual_resource_table.xml in $<path_cacti>/resource/snmp_queries/, or wherever you have cacti installed (for me it is /var/www/cacti/).

2. Import templates into your 0.8.7b installation.

3. Graph!

Note: If you have two FalconStor devices in a failover mode, you will want to make sure you do not set the device IP within cacti to a heartbeat address for these graphs. This is because, if one of the devices should suddenly failover, your graphs will go blank unless you are monitoring the virtual IP (so to speak) that migrates between the devices.
