[INFOREQ] Large Deployments

Post by rupert56 »

Hi all,

I was just wondering what are the largest deployments everyones used this plugin with?

I'm planning on unleashing it against 1000 devices, 50% of which are probably very densely populated switches (> 100 active ports).

Also is there anyway to throttle back the queries to give the switches time to breathe?

Lastly... anyone noticed that all the plugin docs have disappeared from the cacti wiki.. unfortunately I can't RTFM ;)

Cheers. R.

I have about 2,500 devices attatched including various computers with widely varying OS's from many many vendors, IP cameras, IP phones, printers, plc modules etc... Working with an all cisco environment switch wise and besides the box I have running mactrack and the directly connected switch, there isn't too much stress on the network or any machines. :D

Thanks for getting back to us. In the end I just let it do it's thing... Currently let it walk 890 switches and routers across a number of sites... I'll let the results talk for themselves :)
