Hi,
I'm currently monitoring about 20000 network interfaces with a cacti/boost setup.
The switches / ports are automagically imported with CLI. Works like a charm.
Anyway it would be great if it were possible to set thresholds for all the error graphs so that if a value of e.g. 0.1 error / s is exceeded I get warned and can have a look at the interface.
Unfortunately the only possiblities I can currently see is either to dive into the mysql directly and do it there or to create 20000 thresholds in the web interface manually. Neither seems to be very attractive :-/.
So is there another possibility, e.g. to "template" thresholds, so that with each graph of a certain template type a threashold is created?
The 2nd question is the performance of threshold and the interoperability with boost. Is there someone with experience how heavyweight the thresholds are?
Thank you

Mass creation of thresholds / boost / performance?

Yea, that makes sense. Let's see what Jimmy says. It's not a difficult task.
