[SOLVED] I cannot graph gigabit network interface.

Post by infestdead »

So here's my problem in a nutshell.
I installed cacti, setup the host to montior and enabled Data Query - SNMP - Interface Statistics. So the graphs were showing - but were incorrect - I had 20MB/s+ and cacti was graphing no more than 7-8 up to 10MB/s. So I searched around and found out that I had to use 64 bit counters - so I did - but no more graphs - just "nan". So I searched some more I found out that I could try Re-Index Method - Verify All Fields - tried that too - still - no graphs - just 'nan'. And my log says:

Code: Select all

03/12/2009 05:35:01 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[6] DS[79] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: U

my snmpd.conf is:

Code: Select all

com2sec local $HERE-SERVER-CACTI-IP public
group MyROGroup v1 local
group MyROGroup v2c local
group MyROGroup usm local

view all included .1 80

disk /
disk /home

access MyROGroup "" any noauth exact all none none

syslocation $SERERNAME

Any suggestion are welcome. :)

Yahoo!! I'm graphing! I just started using snmpv2

snmpd.conf

Code: Select all

rocommunity $SECRET-NAME $CACTI-SERVER-IP
disk /
disk /home

Then in cacti, devices - our device, SNMP Options, SNMP Version - 2, SNMP Community - $SECRET-NAME (from above).

p.s.. I'll add [solved] to the topic.
