host template [solved]

Post by lipos »

Hi,

I will like to create some host templates and add all to this forum, but I got a problem with generating it.

I'm creating a new Data Template and adding Name, Data Input Method: Get SNMP Data, assigning some Internal Data Source Name, min and max values and adding existing and working OID - checked with snmpget.

Then I'm creating Graph template based on the data template above. Adding some colours, types, legend etc.

Finally, I'm creating Host templates based on all above by adding name of the template and associating the graph template.

Saving all and creating a a device using the host template created above.

My graph is not being created. After checking it through Graph managment menu I got a message:

ERROR: opening '/var/www/html/cacti/rra/test.rrd': No such file or directory

Why no RRD is being created? Is there something that I'm missing?

Solved!

It's the device that I'm monitoring!
I'm monitoring it using SNMP and it is responding, but from what ever reason the cacti shows that it's down?!?!

Never mid, I will crack it - it's not the template.
