Graph zoom feature not working - red box

Post by Mail Guy »

All,

I am currently using a pair of Cacti installations, one at 0.8.6h and one at 0.8.7b. I am not maintaining either installation anymore, but I do use them and get questions about them from time to time. With both installations (on different systems), I am no longer able to use the graph zoom feature (click on the magnifying glass, drag to select timeframe). This used to work on the 0.8.6h installation.

The version of RRDtool in use on both systems is 1.2.23. The browsers are Firefox 3 on Linux and MacOS, and Safari on MacOS. I have JavaScript enabled on my linux Firefox 3.

The failure mode on all browsers I've tested is the same: click on the magnifying glass results in a new page with just the desired graph, but a red box superimposed on the page above the graph, and dragging in either the red box or the graph does not do anything.

Is this a known "been there done that" issue? I searched the forums and Google and my "red box zoom" query didn't get me anything helpful other than "do you have JavaScript turned on?" bit of info.

I've attached a screen excerpt of the issue in png format to assist with diagnosis.

Thanks!
