When we have a host go down thold is sending a notification email just as it's designed to. The problem is that every minute it is sending an email that the host it down. All we need is one when it's down and one when it comes back up.
The Poller settings we have are:
Poller Type: cmd.php
Interval: 30 seconds
Cron: 5 minutes
Downed Host Detection: PING and SNMP
Failure and Recovery Count: 2
Alerting/Thold settings are:
Default Trigger Count: 1
Re-Alerting: 50
I've searched both here and on google but couldn't find an answer, although the way this week has been going that could just mean my google-fu sucks. Anyone have a suggestion what obvious thing I missed?
Thanks

heh, don't worry about it. I always work on the belief that it was a Pebcak first, then hardware/software problems second.cigamit wrote:Doesn't happen to me. Maybe its a "Pebcak"? (sorry couldn't resist).
It should only be send it once. Granted, I never tested it with "Interval: 30 seconds' before, but I doubt that is the issue.
I think I'll mess around with the poller settings some more and see what I can come up with.
