About plugin Reports (questions)

I m trying to understand the funcionallity of this plugin.

Someone can give me a reason to use this plugin? What is the finallity of this feature?

And the best way to configure this plugin to get a better result?

I'm checking these functions, someone can explain how it works?

Ex: f_avg = return the average of all measured values.

What is this value? How it get this values? How can I formule this function to make the report works? When I run the report what happens with the script plugin?
