Help me! Problem with setup
Hi,
I new with Cacti, and I have installed it follow the instructions (Win2000), but I have a problem. The first time I try to run http://ip-server/cacti only can see the root apache directory
and when I run c:\php\php.exe c:\apache2\htdocs\cacti\cmd.php show me this:
C:\>c:\php\php.exe c:\apache2\htdocs\cacti\cmd.php
Content-type: text/html
X-Powered-By: PHP/4.3.8
There are no items in your poller cache. Make sure you have at least one data source created. If you do, go to 'Utilities', and select 'Clear Poller Cache'.

Could somebody help me?
Thanks and sorry for mi poor english.

I guess the first question is.... Have you created a device and added at least 1 graph to it? If you have, did you clear the poller cache, if you did, did that change anything?
If you are unsure of how to create a device and add graphs, then I suggest you read the manual for cacti, and search these forums for further help.

The problem is I don't know how add a device, because when I try to run http://localhost/cacti I only see the parent directory, but I can't see Cacti. I read how to add a device within Cacti, but I don't see that screen. Obviously I have a (big) mistake because I can't see Cacti
Any suggestion about how can fix this?

You must not have your web-server set to look for index.php files. Try manually going to http://localhost/cacti/index.php.
If that comes up with some sort of error, then I would double check that you have php installed and the plugins registered with your webserver.
If that still doesn't work, then post back with info about what happened, error messages, type / version of your webserver, OS, php, cacti etc.

Can you verify to location of the index.php file from the cacti installation? It is a static file - it's not created dynamically, it should be part of the install process. So it seems then that perhaps you webserver is not set up properly with the right mapping for the url -> physical location. Try this - create a simply index.html file and place it in the same directory as your cacti installation (the same directory as the index.php) - if you web-server can't read localhost/cacti/index.html - then you know you have your web-server misconfigured.

Finally I had access for Cacti console (thanks melchandra), but now I have an error when I run C:\>c:\php\php.exe c:\apache2\htdocs\cacti\cmd.php:

I need install something else or is an (another) configuration error?
