Status Plugin on Cacti 0.8.7c PIA 2.2

Post by snaught »

Just an FYI I've just installed Cacti 0.8.7c and PIA 2.2 along with the Status plugin, and got error msg's about PHP extensions missing. Looking under the hood I noticed I was missing the \cacti\include\html directory that I had in 0.8.7b. I copied the html dir into the correct location, and the Status plugin worked flawlessly :P

The html directory was removed on purpose.
I fear the author of the mentioned plugin should be made aware of needs to update his code

Not 100% sure, but take a shot at this:

in my version of the status plugin (087b-1 - inside the tar.gz), there is a file called:
inc_device_filter_table.php
Go to the status.php file, edit it with your favorite tool. Find line #213

Code: Select all

  include("./include/html/inc_device_filter_table.php");
and change it to:

Code: Select all

  include("inc_device_filter_table.php");
I think the plugin should work ok after that. I don't see any other references to the /include/html paths beyond that one.

Give that a shot - it seemed to work for me.

Just curious - what is the benefit?
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

The HTML directory no longer exists in 0.8.7c/d due to security reasons. The Status plugin has been superseded by THold 0.41. However, the author may choose to update this plugin to make compatible with 0.8.7c/d
