Graphing Negative number

Post by bmuha »

I am having problems with graphing (-)numbers

Can someone tell me how to do this

my snmpget is getting say -6 which shows up on the graph (bottom) but there is no Area showing up

Here is what i have set for the graph

Use Rigid Boundaries Mode (--rigid)
Use --alt-autoscale
Upper Limit: The maximum vertical value for the rrd graph. 10
Lower Limit: The minimum vertical value for the rrd graph. -20

this returns nothing

if i change it to autoscale it graphs but only upwards in the per say + area

Any thoughts on this

It is possible that the negative numbers are being messed up by cacti in the process. To check, go into 'cacti Settings' and check 'Update' under 'Log File'. Then check the 'log/rrd.log' file to see what number(s) are being inserted into the .rrd file.

This will reveal whether it is a data gathering or graph problem.
