[XML] ISDN Call Stats Query

Post by Deano »

A script based query to give ISDN Calls In and Out from the SNMP Transmission MIB. I've successfully used this for with Cisco 7206 with PRI and 1603 with BRI.

Available Graphs are for ISDN Calls In & Out and Connected ISDN Calls In & Out expressed in Calls per Minute.

Full Details

ZIP of XML for Query and Tempate Import + Script

The script file (query_host_isdncalls.php) should be copied to cacti/scripts directory.
The query xml (host_isdncalls.xml) should be copied to cacti/resource/script_query directory.

Example Query Output...

I'm having trouble getting this working on a Windows Server.

The Data Query debug indicates

+ Running data query [10].
+ Found type = '4 '[script query].
+ Found data query XML file at 'C:\Websites\Cacti/resource/script_queries/host_isdncalls.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.

+ Found data query XML file at 'C:\Websites\Cacti/resource/script_queries/host_isdncalls.xml'
+ Found data query XML file at 'C:\Websites\Cacti/resource/script_queries/host_isdncalls.xml'

but with no items or rows discovered. This isnt creating a RRD file nor resulting in any data be displayed in the Data query section of create graphs.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? Some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I'm using this script for a Cisco 2600 with an E1 interface and I get following graphs.

Are these values correct or how should I interpret this output ?

Screenshot002.jpg looks right if you have 1 call every 20 minute or so.

Change values to Exact Numbers, to get a real number 0.003 instead of a 3micro minutes.

hey :)

thanks for the script it works well. Just wondering though how do i automaticaly get the graph to divide each value by 200 to get the correct value ? i.e 200 = 1 call on the graph ?

thanks

I'm having the same problem. Cacti shows one call at 200m?! Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Cisco 2800 Series Routers

Hi,
I'm using a Cisco 2800 (2821 with a dual PRI) Series Integrated Services Router, the initial query works fine.

However the polling get method does not work, it returns a U? I started with v1 then switch to v2 which gave me a little bit more info.

10/18/2006 07:38:42 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] DEBUG: SQL Exec: "insert into poller_output (local_data_id, rrd_name, time, output) values (50, 'isdn_callsout', '2006-10-18 19:38:41', 'U')"

I spent several hours teaching myself what I can about all of this (to no avail) and it appears that the 2800 series does not use SNMP Transmission MIB (.1.3.6.1.2.1.10.20.1.3.2.1). I am going through the Cisco documentation attempting to find out the new oid's. I am curious is anyone else has successful manipulated this to work with a 2800? Any hints or help would be very appreciated.

What's the difference between In/Out and In/Out connected? Seems a bit odd to me. If the call isn't connected...it's....not connected. :)

Coolhand,

I have ran into the same issue. Did you find out the correct OID for 2821 to poll from?

Thx.

Updated Script

Post by mpspind »

After finding this wouldn't work for me on the newer Cacti version, I did more searching to find someone took this script and updated it in another post. The link is here: http://forums.cacti.net/about26940.html&highlight=isdn

Seems to work better for me. Working out the "normal" vs. "exact number" kinks since 5.11 calls in the past 5 minutes isn't very realistic...

01/19/2009 02:43:19 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[149] DS[759] WARNING: Result from SCRIPT not valid. Partial Result: ...

Debugging the graph and datasource, everything appears ok.
This is on a 3825 with 2port T1 Wics.

Anyone have an idea, I have looked through all the forums and tried multiple things.
