[Solved ] Ubuntu Server + Cacti , network Graph Empty

Post by NoWayHome »

Hi

I installed
Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS 64bit.
Cacti Version 0.8.7b .

Everything was oki
I have Cpu , ( Multi CPU Utilization on 2 Processor Box ) , Cpu Usage , Load Average , Memory Usage , Available Disk Space Graphs, ...
But Traffic (bits/sec) & co are empty .

I try a lot of things , i import template from another server ( gentoo + cacti ) , i made some modif ,but still empty .

In debug Mode :

Code: Select all

RRDTool Command:

/usr/bin/rrdtool graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="Localhost - Traffic - eth0" \
--rigid \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale-max \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="bytes per second" \
--slope-mode \
--font TITLE:12: \
--font AXIS:7: \
--font LEGEND:7: \
--font UNIT:7: \
DEF:a="/var/lib/cacti/rra/localhost_traffic_in_47.rrd":traffic_in:AVERAGE \
DEF:b="/var/lib/cacti/rra/localhost_traffic_in_47.rrd":traffic_in:MAX \
DEF:c="/var/lib/cacti/rra/localhost_traffic_in_47.rrd":traffic_out:AVERAGE \
DEF:d="/var/lib/cacti/rra/localhost_traffic_in_47.rrd":traffic_out:MAX \
AREA:a#00CF00FF:"Inbound" \
GPRINT:a:LAST:" Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:a:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:b:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s" \
COMMENT:"Total In\: 0 bytes\n" \
LINE1:c#002A97FF:"Outbound" \
GPRINT:c:LAST:"Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:c:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:d:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s" \
COMMENT:"Total Out\: 0 bytes"

RRDTool Says:
OK
I don't know what's wrong , i search but can't find a solution .
Someone to help me ?

thanks

What is the result here as the pictures , if there is 0 items 0 rows , I think it is much better to check your snmpd.conf file .

I will check for the NaN now .

That indeed looks fine. But what are the results when proceeding through my debugging help?

Item#4 should show sth like
01/20/2009 11:18:09 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] DEBUG: SQL Exec: "insert into poller_output (local_data_id, rrd_name, time, output) values (5, '', '2009-01-20 23:18:09', '1min:0.16 5min:0.33 10min:0.33')"
without any error message.

Item#7, step1 requires a rrdtool fetch to see numbers. rrdtool info looks fine

I found the error in the log :

DS[47] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result:

47 is the rrd file using for my network graph .

I don't found any sql insert.

Only that :

The partial result thingy is shown in case the device does not respond with valid data. In DEBUG mode, cacti will display another line that includes the failing OID

That's Verbose Query, not poller debug. Please see 2nd link of my sig (there's a chapter on poller debug)
