Dell PowerEdge 1955 Blade Server Setup

Post by A Grateful Dad »

Good Morning and thanks for looking!

We are currently using Cacti for graphing an 8 blade deployment at our one of our Datacenters.

Through Cacti - we are monitoring disk usage, network traffic, loads, etc.

During the course of using Cacti - one thing has come to light that is troubling us - although the setup is set to monitor by IP - all graphs for loads, etc. are coming back as the same - almost like it is taking on overall load check on the chassis, not the individual blades.

For example, the load on ECOM1 is the same as STAGE and INGEST, etc. and is prevelant across all blades.

Is there anything that we may be doing wrong or some information that I can pass on to help resolve some of the issues we are seeing.

I have attached three of the graphs for examples...

Thanks for your help in advance!

Use "UCD" not "Unix". "Unix" is misleadingly labeled as such instead of what it should be "Localhost".

Cheers and have fun :)
