How to create data template, graph template, data source ?

I want to create data template, graph template and data source in the program because if put the parameters in hand in the web it is a waste of time,could someone tell me how to?
My idea is to insert data into related tables in cacti database,but there are some columns I don't their meaning.
Could someone tell me how to?

We won't support this, as you will not notify any table changes of upcoming new cacti versions.
It is recommended to use api_* calls instead.
But in fact, we do NOT provide code for creating templates from cli. This is IMHO a quite rare task compared to adding hosts/graphs and stuff.
So I can't recommend any feasible way for your goal, sorry

You said that I would not notify any table changes of upcoming new cacti versions,but I won't update my cacti,I will use the fiexed version for long.In this situation, can I find some way to add various templates in the program by inserting information into cacti database? Or if I want to creat templates,I have to put in hand in the web anyway?
