Fresh Cacti Install, all text and no graphics

Post by SuperOmegaSlack »

I am using:
FreeBSD 7.0
cacti-0.8.7b
PHP 5.2.5
mysql 5.0.45_1
apache 2.2.6.2
rrdtool-1.2.23

After installing and initial cacti configuration, i go to the cacti login page (which doesn't ask for a login) and it looks like this:
Image

I checked global.php and made sure that the database and user/password were correct... although not sure if I need to change anything else.

I logged into mysql to make sure user has all privileges to the correct database and that the cacti database had all the tables.

I have cacti installed to:
/usr/local/cacti

My web root is:
/usr/local/www

Here is my global.php:

It looks like Apache isn't set up to process .php pages - all that code shouldn't end up in the browser.
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Thanks for your response!

When I first installed, that was definitely an issue, the code was way more garbled... but I added the php handlers in httpd.conf and php seems to render code. Even when I went back to check, what I have now looks alot more formatted than before the php handlers.

here is what I have in httpd.conf for php:
LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache22/libphp5.so

AddHandler php5-script .php
AddType text/html .php

here is my php test script:
http://netmon.soundlounge.com/test.php

If there is a problem with php... what am I missing?

Thanks!
