i tried to search for someone who ran into this, but couldn't. My cacti installation(Version 0.8.7b, centOS 5.1) did not include a plugins folder nor a $plugins = array(); section in the include/global.php. I tried manually creatiing the plugins folder, then copying the syslog plugin folder into it. I then did a chown -R for the cactiuser on the plugins directory, and finally added the
$plugins = array();
and
$plugins[] = 'syslog-0.5.2';
into global.php.
no new nav link shows up in cacti. Where did i go wrong? I also couldn't find anything useful in the manual. Any help would be appreciated.
