Advanged Ping 1.3: Showing too high of pings...

We currently have Advanced Ping v1.3 with the settings configured below:

The number of times to ping the host: 5
Ping protocol to use. Either ICMP (default), TCP, or UDP: ICMP

We changed from 20 to 5 because we had too many time out issues, and did not need to know detailed smoke information.

But our pings on graphs are too high, when we do a ping using command prompt, we ping a device that says an average of 30-40ms on an Advanced Ping graph, on command prompt it shows pings of 1-5ms. Is there something wrong with this?
