All graphs from a particular graph template stopped updating

After having some issues with the Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, 95th Percentile) graph template not working for newly created graphs, I thought maybe it somehow got modified, because the debug output was very different from the older graphs did work.

So, I tried to reimport that template from another cacti installation. Unfortunately, right around that time I re-imported it, all of my graphs with that template stopped updating. All other graphs still update just fine. The modification time stamp has not changed on the rrd files that that template uses at all.

Could my replacing of that graph template cause those particular rrds to stop updating?

In searching through the forums, most people had all graphs stop updating, or specific hosts stop updating, and neither is my case. Anyone have any ideas?

This is perfectly possible if you messed up e.g. the data template
