cacti rrdtool version to use

Post by stack »

Hello.
I have this situation:
I'm using centos 5 and I have graphs created with rrdtool 1.x.
If i switch from rrdtool 1.0.x to rrdtool 1.2.x and change in Cacti what version of rrdtool to use old graphs won't appear. Only new created graphs will appear.

My question:
Is there a way to convert graphs created with rrdtool 1.0.x to 1.2.x ?
I don't want to lose the old graphs because the collected data so far is important and I can't just delete them.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Sorry for the double post but i've found the solution.
Dump into xml old rra`s and import them.
I've used the script from here:

Ok. But rrdtool 1.2 is able to read rrdtool 1.0 files. So there's no real need for conversion from my point of view
