Adding sum of data transfered (not the average) as a Gprint

Post by sanderbontje »

Hi,

How can I add the sum of the data transfered within a period (not the average of that period) as a Gprint to a graph?

I would like to add gprints like "<<amount>> Kb transferd in <<graph period>>".

Thanks,

Sander

I'm also interested in this.. We'd like to monitor traffic for our broadband customers on a weekly and monthly. I used to use one when we used the plain 'ole MRTG .log files.. It has php support and seems easy enough.

There was also another one I found here that does RRD type logfiles.

However it doesn't do what I want it to.

Anybody else have any scripts or tools that does this?

Any chance of getting totals into the feature list of 0.8?

Not to be a me-too'er but me too ;->

I've been evaluating RRDTool/Cacti as a MRTG replacement for the past two weeks and it does everything I could ever want it to do, except total data. Awesome tool RaX, even missing builtin data totalling Cacti is still the best monitoring package I've ever worked with, keep up the good work.

Agreed, Cacti Rules ! A consideration might be a script which dumps the .rrd to .xml and then puts the data in .LOG file format.

Look at the "TRYTIME" contrib app located in the \CONTRIB directory of a source version of RRDTOOL. It might provide you with the data you need.

Hmm, this is what I'm after too.

I've found a site that seems to be doing it:

http://mrtg.datacolo.com/switch1/index. ... ver001.net

I've emailed the admin, but not received any response yet.

If anyone knows how to do this, I would be greatful.

THanks.
