cacti move/upgrade: poller works but rrd files aren't update

Post by evilzardoz »

Hi,

Trying to upgrade from an 0.8.6 system to 0.8.7... got it all installed and running but the rrd files aren't getting updated, showing NaN for the daily graphs.

What can I look for? debugs aren't showing me anything conclusive. The files are there and I have full access to them. Creating a new graph didn't create the new rrd files.

thanks!

Run the poller manually as the cron user.

Code: Select all

php -q poller.php --force
It's likely a permissions issue.

running the php -q poller.php works.. cmd.php doesn't...

What is the difference between the two?

Edit: nevermind, turns out cmd.php shouldn't be run from the command line which is what I was doing to troubleshoot why my graphs weren't updating when it turns out I had my crontab entry incorrect!

oops. all working now.
