Empty graphs after portation to new Cacti Server

Post by seezeit »

Hi all.

I have exported my cacti content from Fedora to a Debian Server. All looks fine, but some Graphs didnt show results.

I.E. i check the traffic and total printed pages of my hp printer.
the traffic check doesnt doesnt have any informations.
but the total printed pages one shows the result correctly.

that mean, that some of the old graph/templates working fine, and some dont.

anybody an idea, what the problem could be?

I found this entry in my cacti.log
10/15/2008 03:40:18 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[29] DS[564] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result:

First, please verify the file layout. Debian is known to put cacti files into different places. Please re-create the poller cache by running

Code: Select all

php -q cli/rebuild_poller_cache.php

Hi

i have installed cacti via apt-get.

I don't have the rebuild_poller_cache.php under cli/ but under /usr/share/cacti/site/rebuild_poller_cache.php

when i run this i get following output
Warning: include_once(./lib/utility.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/share/cacti/site/rebuild_poller_cache.php on line 35

Warning: include_once(): Failed opening './lib/utility.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /usr/share/cacti/site/rebuild_poller_cache.php on line 35
WARNING: Do not interrupt this script. Rebuilding the Poller Cache can take quite some time
.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function update_poller_cache() in /usr/share/cacti/site/rebuild_poller_cache.php on line 95
in the cacti.log i find following lines
10/22/2008 02:50:02 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:1.0745 Method:cmd.php Processes:1 Threads:N/A Hosts:36 HostsPerProcess:36 DataSources:650 RRDsProcessed:0
where RRDsProcessed is Zero. Does both parts come together, or are these two different problems?

This shows, that polling is working (almost) fine, but rrdtool update fails. See 2nd link of my sig for more insight
