No Graphs on XP

Hi everyone,

I just installed Cacti on my XP Machine. I cant c any graphs though.......dont know wats the problem,,I am new to this kind of tool,,,so please help me out.......also it gives me error like " perl not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"....SNMP service is also ON too,,is there a way to check out tht all services and other configurations r fine ??

What are you trying to graph? Is the data collected by SNMP or a script?

The errors that you are getting are probably due to the default devices that Cacti tries to collect data from. Out of the box Cacti tries to collect data about your local computer. Unfortunately, these statistics only work on a Unix based machine. This has been discussed quite frequently on this forum. Just put some of your debugging output into the search engine.

To help you do some debugging, first answer my questions at the beginning of this message. Also give me a detailed descrition of your problems: where are you seeing these errors, what software versions are you using, what type of devices are you polling....

it looks like if perl is not installed on his machine and/or the path is not updated to the perl binary directory.

yes, perl is not installed on my machine. What are the steps now to get everything running ?
