Monitoring Fedora System through SNMP

Post by Shivaraj05 »

Hi all,

I removed the localhost device as i decided to monitor it through SNMP.

I edited the /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf for community string,Location,Contact

I added the device successfully for monitoring. But its still not generating Graph.

snmpwalk responded to the query. So no issue with snmp..

graph debug mode showed the following error message

opening '/usr/share/cacti/rra/monitoring_system_hdd_free_189.rrd': No such file or directory

please help me to figure out what went wrong

I think cacti has no rights to create the files.
chown cactiuser:cactiuser ./rra

will help you

Check the cron log and check the owner of all files again. Check the user of the executing crontab. Check poller output and cacti.log This helped me a lot.

How much files do you have in rra? ls -l ?

If its only on linux server, its strange. Which graph templates do you use for the lniux machine? Its mostly not possible to use the same graph template.
