Truncated 'ifName' in Graph Management View Page

Post by F_Ahmed »

Hi,

I am running Cacti in CentOS 5 [ 2.6.18-53.el5 ] with Version 0.8.7b.

The ifName from NE40 router [ Quidway NetEngine , Huawei ] is being shown as "<hostname> - Traffic - GigabitEthernet" instead of "<hostname> - Traffic - GigabitEthernet7/0/0". The interface prefix is not showing.

But in "Data Query" head under 'New Graph Page' the IfName is correctly shown as "GigabitEthernet7/0/0".

The same setup is working for Juniper Router and interfaces are correctly shown with prefix number.

Manual snmp polling of 'ifName' from NE40 router is also showing the correct description [ GigabitEthernet7/0/0 ].

The graphs are ok but hard to distinguish which graph representing which interface. If anyone have this sort of problem ?

goto settings in console, visual tab and change maximum field length under data queries to something higher.
