How can I solve the Crontab sync with Poller interval?

Post by apereira »

This msgs are showing in my cacti log.
10/09/2008 05:30:01 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] WARNING: Cron is out of sync with the Poller Interval! The Poller Interval is '60' seconds, with a maximum of a '300' second Cron, but 300 seconds have passed since the last poll!

My graphs are wirking perfectly, but this msgs dont stop, it can cause any future problem? What can I do to solve this problem?

Thx,

Set your poller interval to 5 minutes. Don't forget to "Repopulate" your poller cache.

Yes I know, but I want to update my graphs 1 by 1 minute avarage, I already fixe this alert message, just changing in crontab line, the */5 to */1.

But I have another problem, the graph is still updating 5 by 5 minutes... How can I do that? I have here a old version of cacti, that works fine with 1 minute average, but I still dont know how I can do that in new version.

What do you meas with "Repopulate"?
Im studding it now, have to learn so much.

But, maybe you can understand my problem.

I have 14 hosts being graphted in 5 by 5 minutes, right?
I change all configurations to see these same graphs updating 1 by 1 minutes, it includes (rras, data sources, crontab). Alright, there have a new graph showing 1 minute average.
But the problem is, the graph are updating still 5 by 5 minutes, so... I have a delay until next update...

I've tested the following: added a new graph host, to check if all configurations are working, so done, its working with new graphs.

So, I want to know if there is any configuration that make this graphs update 5 by 5 minutes that I can change withou delete the graph historic of these 14 old hosts, is very important to keep this historic alive.

There is any solution?
Thx,
Anderson Pereira.
