VoIP Sessions graph
cacti is the best tool around for NMS. It made my life easier. Now I am trying to make the graphs for my VoIP proxy servers which are Acme Packet Net-Net model. I used the Generic OID template for fetching the SNMP stats for total VoIP sessions on the VoIP proxy Server but didnt get through. The OID I am using is working Ok in MRTG and i have build the graph but somehow I am missing something or doing something wrong here. Kindly help me out here. the logs show me the value "U" against the OID but as I a mentioned earlier the same OID is working fine in MRTG.

I issued the command mentioned below
snmpwalk -v 2c -On -c acmepacket 10.1.6.41 1.3.6.1.4.1.9148.3.2.1
Output is attached.
Cacti Log: 10/10/2008 12:15:03 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[448] DS[197521] SNMP: v2: 10.1.6.31, dsname: snmp_oid, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9148.3.2.1.2.4.1.7.3 = Counter32: 2947
This integer value is changing constantly. Now I can see thee graph but no output shown. Attached is the graph PNG.

Ok thanks, i'll do that, if I try the "rrdtool update" to create rrd data files will it effect the exsisting rrd data files currently being maintained for my other critical devices in cacti?
Becuase I have a single node of cacti monitoring the whole network including our Cisco GSR routers. And i dont want to take risk, if its risky I will install another node of cacti for new rrd data files to accomodate data source MAX issue.
I have found a very useful doc regarding the rrdtool. Attached is the pdf.
