Cacti0.87b does not creat rrd file at all

hi,

this may be a old question, but i can't find the way out.

I installed cacti0.87b according to manual and it works. After that, I want to modify RRA configurations to store 5min data for 60days.

After modification, I delete all devices in cacti and recreate one.

From then on, it always shows no rrd file found. Trying to turn on data source debugging, I found there is NOT "rrdtool create " command shows.

( the step I did is

data source --> localhost --> turn on data souce debug mode )


where is the problem?

Make sure the RRDfile does not exist, and then run the poller by hand. Look for errors during polling indicating some problem. If the RRDfile exists, you should dump it and see if data is actually making it into the file.

no use! problem resolved by reinstallation.
