[ SOLVED ] NPC plugin installed but no data displayed

Post by elesouef »

Hi there,

I installed the NPC plugin (last version found http://trac2.assembla.com/npc 2.0.0b).

Nagios3 is also installed with ndoutils (using debian backports for etch).

My cacti database is loaded with the npc_* tables and they also have datas in them.

The problem is that I get nothing (ie : no data displayed) on the dashboard.

Can anyone help me deal with this issue ? Where should I start ?

Thanks.

Hello,

we are experimentig the same problem.

Yesterday, we installed the latest version of NPC from http://trac2.assembla.com/npc. We was checking all the requirements and all fill apparently ok.

We have running cacti 0.8.7b and nagios 3.0.3. The two applications are working properly.

We was reading all the posts about this problems and checking for bug's, people with similar problems, etc. But nothign works for us.

We check the ndo2db debug, php extensions (PDO, MYSQL_PDO,JSON), permissons on files (debug ndo2db, etc), everithing it's OK.

We start the nagios and we haven't any problem:
[1222958891] Nagios 3.0.3 starting... (PID=22111)

The apache2 starts correctly too:
[Thu Oct 02 10:52:44 2008] [notice] caught SIGWINCH, shutting down gracefully

Everithing seems to be OK. We can't find any problem.

In adittion, we was checkin the database and it's ok too, all the tables were created with the npc_ header and the data is written correctly in tables. We have put the level of debug at -1 and we see how the application ndo2db writes on the tables.

Anyone has any idea that may be happening?

Thanks a lot.

elesouef I'm sorry for using your post but I think that we have the same problem and we can try to find the best solution for it.

Regards.

Just found what was my problem with this. My php.ini read by apache2 in debian (/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini) specified memory_limit = 16M.

Modifying the value to 64M solved the issue. Now NPC is populated with datas ! Yeepee.
