Will teMySQL work with 0.8.7b?
Can anyone make any educated guesses about whether I'm just begging for pain if I start trying to get this to work?
Re: Will teMySQL work with 0.8.7b?
And the answer is "pain" - in the form of rrdtool processes that run a long time - perhaps forever and eat all the system memory, given half a chance.jbsegal wrote:Can anyone make any educated guesses about whether I'm just begging for pain if I start trying to get this to work?
It's interesting to note that I DID get some data back from the time it was running, in the windows between machine reboots.
Philo: Is there any chance you'll ever come back to this package?
Improved MySQL templates
I've created some improved MySQL templates.
Overview:

Permanent homepage, where everyone can contribute and maintain:

Hopefully someone will post screenshots. I don't have any.

in the readme you mention perl scripts to make customized templates if we wanted to, that wasn't part of the tar.gz. Where can I get that?

Ah, I see there are patches for this error:

use cmd.php
Since my cmd.php only takes 7 seconds to complete - I can handle using cmd.php instead of cactid to work around this per:

Happily mysql cactified,
thanks

Ok, I think it's this line in poller.c:
I've updated the code, bumped that 254 to a 500, recompiled, and am no longer seeing that error.. I'll go file a bug tomorrow if it's actually working correctly.
Code: Select all
snprintf(poller_items[i].result, 254, strip_alpha(trim(poll_result)));
