I recompiled PHP5 with sockets enabled and thereafter everything just stopped.
Cacti is still there, but no new data. Running the poller manually produces nothing. Apache2 has been restarted, but no change. All my graphs are now flatlined...
What could have gone wrong?

[SOLVED] Added PHP sockets - now Cacti is dead

Well, I re-compiled without sockets = no fix.
I restored my backup of the cacti dir = no fix
I dropped the DB and restored from an earlier backup = no fix
So, I am looking at a completely new install. The only difference is a re-compiled PHP5.
Other PHP web apps run fine (mediawiki) and Cacti web pages display fine, but CLI commands do nothing.
No rras
Empty logs.
No errors, no nothing...

I re-compiled with the same options as my initial install. Unfortunately I did not back up the binaries before the re-compile.khufure wrote:Did you try to revert your php to the previous version which was working?erekose wrote:Well, I re-compiled without sockets = no fix.

Uhm, you are missing the MySQL module in your compile. That is "definitely" your problem.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
