I want to suggest the following:
1. When I add Data Input Method, why should I manually add Output Items to it ? Why doesn't cacti run the script and see what it returns ? Of course, the scripts usually requiries arguments, may be you can add the special one for this purpose ?
After Cacti retrieves the list of outputs, you may wish to edit them...
2. When adding data source items to Data Template, there would be more efficient to add multiple items without pressing save->edit template->new, and so on.
When there are a lot of data source items, the date template page is very wide.
Please align current data source item parameters to the left, and also place the "New" button at the left side of the page.

Re: Faster templating
Agreed. But this does not occur this often. So, IMHO, the effort of implementing this is not justified.devel wrote:I want to suggest the following:

I do agree completely. IMHO, there will be a change for this in 0882. When adding data source items to Data Template, there would be more efficient to add multiple items without pressing save->edit template->new, and so on.
