Cactid and External Scripts

First off, Cacti is a great product. I have had no problems with it, except for the cmd.php script taking about 8 minutes to run, and I know that the problem is on my side. I'm running Solaris 9 on a 400Mhz SPARC server. The solution to this problem is to run Cactid, which brings to time down to around 4 minutes, but I've noticed that my external Weather script does not work anymore. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is this functionality not in Cactid yet?

We've seen the same kind of problem. If we run interactively, it seems to grab statistics yet doesn't update the .rrd files.

Not sure how we get around this.

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad that I'm not the only one running into this problem. When I can get this functionality to work with Cactid, I'll convert over. Hopefully someone else has some information about this.

any updates to this? i'm having the same problem.

Also, using cactid my graphs don't display 95% or total bandwidth..

I'm still having the same issue. I'm holding off from going with Cactid for this reason.

Works fine for me... first with cacti 0.8.3a and now 0.8.5a. I have cacti using several stupid shell scripts to parse check_nt etc. output (but I haven't tried this weather script).
