IBM Blade center monitoring

Post by after310 »

Hello :)

I have a problem, I would like to survey temperatures of an IBM blade center chassis; I have the OID, but when I try an snmpget, the answer returned is not an integer (for temperature) but a string like "34 celcius".

Is Cacti can graph this string value? I think no :S

Is someone have a solution for this problem?

Er, to finish: I use cactiEZ 8)

It should work instantaneously (from theory). If it doesn't, a simple wrapper script bouncing off the string should do

You need to present the output from the snmpget for the OID on this forum, we will be able to determine "how" much needs to be changed, it anything to support this.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
